Welcome to Barden Primary School. 

Thank you for choosing our school for your child. 

A warm welcome to the Barden Primary School family! It is an exciting time in your child’s life and we are over-joyed to be part of it.

We are really looking forward to meeting everyone who is due to join us for the first time in September 2025, as well as those that are already an important part of our school family.

You will soon be receiving a welcome pack with more information regarding starting Barden Primary School.

Over the months of April - July please expect a few emails and information to prepare you for your September start!

In April/May we will be sending out welcome packs with more information regarding starting Barden Primary School.  You will receive a welcome email with links to a form to provide school with more information.  Please ensure you complete this form as soon as possible.

In May we will be arranging visits to your child's current setting or phone calls with their key workers. This will help us to gain more knowledge about your child, particularly their interests and how they communicate and socialise with their peers. 

In June Parents and carers will be invited to a brief introduction to Reception meeting where key information will be shared.

During June you will have the opportunity to visit the school with your child for a short stay and play session. This gives the children a chance to visit our learning environment, meet new friends and for parents and carers to socialise too. 

In July your child will have the opportunity to attend for an hour session in the reception classes with their peers.

In July all children will have a home visit.  Home visits are a good way of helping your child settle in and to get to know their teacher and teaching assistant in a setting familiar to them.  We have found it to be such a valuable experience for your child, having the opportunity to form a relationship with their teachers on a 1:1 basis, that we feel it is worth the time spent. You will receive the date and time of this in June. The home visit will be on one day and last 20 minutes.
