Spring 1

We hope you had a lovely and restful Christmas break and are excited for Spring 1! Here's all of the exciting things we have planned this half-term!

English

In English, we will be reading The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. We will be using this inspirational story to write diary entries and biographies.

Reading

Our class novel this half-term is The Wild Robot.

Geography

Our geography topic this half-term is: Enough for Everyone! We will be learning all about what humans needs in order to survive. We will be investigating power, including renewable and non-renewable energy. We will be learning about where our food comes from and the importance of food miles. We will also be learning about conservation and what we can do to reduce our carbon footprint. 

Science

In Science, we will learning all about sound. We will be learning about what sound is, how the ear works and investigating volume and pitch.
