We hope you had a lovely half-term and are ready for the final half-term in Year 5!

In Reading, our class novel is The 100 Year Old Boy. We will also be reading some fascinating non-fiction texts linked to Science and Geography as well as some thought-provoking poetry.

In English, we will be using the story The Invention of Hugo Cabret to write our very own mystery story.

In Geography, we will be investigating Land Use. We will be learning all about the different uses for land both rural and urban. We will be learning about sketch maps and keys and developing our own skills to create a sketch map.

In Science, we will be investigating animals including humans, looking specifically at the different stages of the human life cycle. We will learn about the changes that happen to our bodies as we grow.
