Welcome back!! We hope you had a wonderful half term. We can't wait to hear all about it! We have some fantastic topics this half term, that we have no doubt you will love.

In Reading, we will be reading Holes by Louis Sachar. Holes follows Stanley Yelnats, a boy sent to Camp Green Lake, where inmates dig holes every day. As Stanley uncovers secrets about the camp, he learns about friendship, family history, and justice. The novel weaves together past and present, revealing how fate and courage can change lives.

In English, we will be delving deep into Windrush Child by Benjamin Zaphaniah. After reading the story, the children will innovate their own part narrative, showing us their speech skills. They will also create a balanced argument to argue two sides of a case.

In History, we will be looking at Crime and Punishment. We will explore crime and punishment in different time periods and compare them.

In Science, we will be investigating reversible and irreversible changes. We will be taking part a range of different experiments to show changes in materials.
