Welcome back!! We hope you had a wonderful summer holiday and you are ready for an exciting term. We can't wait to hear all about it! We have some fantastic topics this half term, that we have no doubt you will love.

In Reading, we will be reading Little Bad Man by Humza Arshad. It is a comedic action-adventure book following the adventures of Humza Khan as he navigates his way through life and school and the impending doom of the invading killer aunties!

In English, our focus text for this half term will be the story of Hugo Cabaret.  We will be using this wonderful text to create two outcomes for our English.  For our fiction based outcome, we will be creating a character description of Hugo Cabaret.  For our non-fiction outcome, we will be creating a set of instructions for creating our own machine.

In Geography, we will be looking at Land Use. We will explore the different types of land we have in the world as well as using symbols on a map.

In Science, we will be investigating Forces. The children will be completing investigations into forces and making different enquiries around the use of specific forces.

Children will be taking part in two PE lessons a week.  We follow the Lancashire Scheme of PE.  The Jays PE will be on a Wednesday afternoon and on a Thursday morning.  Please make sure your child has a PE kit in school.
