Good Morning Owlets

It is Wednesday morning and this week we have been saying hello to the register in Spanish.  Can you remember how to say hello in Spanish.

Let's say it together 'Ola.'


I bet you can sing our Days of the Week song with the actions.  Let's sing together.  You can click your fingers or pat your knees.  


I wonder what the weather is like - have a look out of the window and tell an adult what the weather is like.  Yesterday it was a foggy day in the morning but then the fog disappeared and we could see the sunshine.  

Saying Hello and Days of the Week Song

It is our P.E time today with Miss Darcy.  First we change into our P.E clothes - find a pair of shorts and a t-shirt  - see how fast you can change into the sports clothes by yourself.  


When you are ready put your hand on your heart - you should feel it beating normally - that is your resting heart beat.  What will happen when you warm you body up and get ready for exercise?   That's right your heart will beat faster, you will be helping your heart muscle become stronger.  




Getting ready for P.E.

Place 2 cushions a few metres apart from one another.  Have 15 toys and place them on one of the cushions.  

You must move one item at a time to the other cushion as fast as you can.  Get your parent to time you.

Have a rest and try again.  Do this activity 3 times to see if you can improve your time.

Now it is time for 'Letters and Sounds' 

Lets go over the letter sounds we have learnt so far.  Can you think of words that might start with the letter sounds?


The new sound we are learning today is 'p.' 


The action that we do to go along with the letter shape is - 

Hold up your finger, as if it is a candle,

 and pretend to puff it out, saying p.

Have a go at writing the letter.


'Take off, down pretty Polly, up, around pretty Polly.'

Watch 'Words and Pictures' and you will spot some objects that begin with the sound.

Well done, now get yourself a healthy snack and have a drink of milk or water.  Then it is time to talk about celebrations.

Have a look at these pictures, talk about the different celebrations.

Draw a picture in your purple book of a celebration in your family.


Time for a story now.

And finally it is 'Rhyme Time' before lunchtime.
