Can you remember what language we are saying Hello in?
That's right Spanish. They speak Spanish in Spain, and many other countries in the world. If you went to Spain you would have to get there by aeroplane, boat or under the ground using the Euro Tunnel.
The month is no longer September, it is a new month - October. I wonder how many of you have your birthdays in October. October is the 10th month of the year.
Today's date is Thursday 1st October 2020.
Now it would be time for Wake up and Walk. We would be going into the big yard and travelling around the cones, jogging, skipping and galloping. We do this to wake ourselves up and to help us keep fit and healthy.
We cannot go to the yard today so, either do the travelling around your garden/backyard or go up and down the stairs as many times as you can in 10 minutes. Don't forget to feel your heartbeat, your head and your chest at the beginning and end. What changes have happened you have done exercise?
It is now time for Letters and Sounds.
Why do we learn Letters and Sounds?
To read and write.
Let's recap the letter shapes and sounds we have learnt so far -
The new sound we are learning today is 'n.'
The action that we do to go along with the letter shape is -
Pointing your finger at your nose and saying 'n.'
Have a go at writing the letter.
This is what we say as we form the letter -
'Take off, down and over the north pole, flick.'
Let's continue our Learning Challenge. Yesterday we used out super senses and felt lots of different objects around the house, finding out if they were rough or smooth. Today we are asking the question - What are objects made out of?
There are lots of objects in our world and they are made of different materials. Today lets find out about objects made of wood.
In Rhyme Time today we are learning 'Hickory Dickory Dock'
Hickory Dickory Dock,
The mouse ran up the clock,
The clock struck one,
The mouse ran down,
Hickory, Dickory Dock.
Tick tock, tick tock.
When you are ready here is the second verse -
Hickory Dickory Dock,
The bird looked at the clock,
The clock struck two 2,
Away she flew,
Hickory Dickory Dock
We learnt actions to go with the rhyme - can you remember them - if not just make up your own.
