Spring 2

This half term's topic is 'Amazing Animals.'

The farm came to visit.  Here are the larger animals.  Pudding the pony, John Paul and Tinklebell the goats and Eddie the sheep.

Here are the smaller animals.

The farmers even showed us a snake!

We have been listening to 'The Carnival of Animals' by Camille Saint-Saens.  We danced like lions.

We have been making up stories with pre-historic animals - dinosaurs!

We learnt about Shrove Tuesday and tasted pancakes.

We have been answering the telephone and writing messages from the vet.

We have been painting pets.

We have been making number sentences.

We have been making fish, putting colourful scales on them.  We drew the fish shape, cut the fish out and spread the glue carefully to stick the scales.

We made homes for animals in the construction area.

This is our story basket, we can make up our own stories from the characters and objects in the basket.

Off on a woodland adventure - looking for signs of winter and spring.  It was so fun racing across the field.

We are designing and making an animal home using junk materials.

We had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day!

We made homes for animals.

Using a ten frame to find ways to make 10.

Sorting objects and talking about how we sorted them.  What is the sorting rule?
