Spring Term -

In Spring One, our Learning Challenge is called 'A Kingdom United'.

At the beginning our term, our class took part in a scone tasting session to help us prepare for our upcoming unit of work in Design and Technology. Following this, we designed and baked our own scones from scratch. Once baked, we added delicious toppings and presented them in unique ways before devouring them. Here are some of the pictures below which include making the scones and presenting our scones in an interesting way:

Autumn Term -

In Autumn 2, our Learning Challenge Unit was called 'A little bit of Sparkle'. In Art, we explored the painting 'The Starry Night' by Vincent Van Gogh and analysed the theme of the painting, discussing which colours had been used and why. We then sketched the picture, before painting a replica.

Following this, we then painted our own version of the painting, changing the colours to create a new, 'wacky theme'. As they were so fantastic, we have created a new display using our fabulous paintings!
