Autumn 2

We hope you had a lovely and restful half term break and are excited for Autumn 2! Here's all of the exciting things we have planned this half-term!

English

In English, we will be reading The Dark by Lemony Snicket. We will be using this spooky story as inspiration to write our own scary story and an explanation text.

Reading

Our class novel this half-term is the humorous story Llama Out Loud.

Geography

Our geography topic this half-term is: Volcanoes and Earthquakes! We will be learning all about this what volcanoes are and how they are formed. We will also be investigating what causes earthquakes, how they are measured and what you should do to survive an earthquake. In DT, we will also be building our own Earthquake resistant structures.

Science

In Science, we will learning all about states of matter. We will be investigating solids, liquids and gases and how matter can change states. We will be learning all about the water cycle and be conducting experiments around evaporation.
