Summer 1

We hope you had a lovely and restful Easter break and are excited for Summer 1! Here's all of the exciting things we have planned this half-term!

English

In English, we will be watching the short film, The Wishgranter, and writing our own fantasy narratives. We will also be writing a non-chronolgical report about Good Luck Charms.

Reading

This half-term we will be reading The Firework Maker's Daughter by Philip Pullman.

History

Our history topic this half-term is: Terrible Tudors! We will be learning all about when the Tudors lived, who they were and why they were significant. We will also learn all about Henry VIII and his six wives and how he changed the religion of England. We will also learn about William Shakespeare and why he is important. To learn about what life was like in Tudor times, we will be going on a trip to Turton Tower!

Science

In Science, we will be learning all about different types of habitats and classification keys. We will also be learning about deforestation and rewilding.
