The Barden School day

For all children in Reception through to Year 6, the length of the school day is a statutory 6.5 hours per day, totalling 32.5 hours per week.

For all children at Barden, the school day begins at 8:35am and finishes at 3:05pm. 

For children attending 'The Nest @ Barden' children may arrive/leave slightly earlier or later than the times stated above due to the varying needs of the pupil cohort and the particular operational challenges they may face on a day to day basis. 

The way our school day is timetabled ensures that there is a substantive high-quality morning and afternoon session in every school day. Alongside this, there is a daily 15 minute morning break and a 1 hour lunchtime.
