Home reading with your child
In your child's reading bag you should have a:
- Home reading record where you can record each time you read with your child.
- Home reading book-please try and practice this daily-reading, asking questions, practicing any words.
- Oxford Owl login-to access your child's guided reading book.
- Teach Your Monster To Read login-where children can practice reading and math's skills.
Golden Ticket Box
We have a reading reward system in school. Each time your child has read at home and had their reading record signed on five separate days, they will receive a ticket which will be placed in Mrs. Holgate's Golden Ticket Box. Tickets are then randomly selected and children will attend Mrs. Holgate's story time session with milkshake and cookies.
