We have had great fun in our first term at Barden Primary School. We have dressed up as superheroes, been superheroes in the home corner after saving people, made superhero masks, ordered superheroes in terms of size. We have also used our superhero senses at The Woodland, using our sense of touch, sight and hearing.
We have been learning to name parts of our bodies. We have painted self portraits, looking carefully in a mirror to see the shape of our face, the colour of our hair and eyes and the length of our hair. We used big and small paintbrushes.
In Magic Maths, we have been learning the terms tall, short, taller than, shorter than, long, longer and longest. We used objects around the classroom to make short and tall towers as well as made comparisons and ordered the towers from shortest to longest. We have also been looking at repeating patterns and making our own repeated patterns using natural objects and things around our classroom.
