PE: Tuesdays, please ensure your child has their PE kit in school. This should not be taken home until the end of the school day. 

Swimming: Now takes place on Thursday mornings throughout this term, please ensure your child has their swimming kit in school. Kit can be brought in at the beginning of the week and left in school for our session. This minimises the risk of forgotten kit. 

Homework - This year we are focusing on times tables and reading as these are fundamental skills which will help us achieve more throughout the year. 

Times tables: Year 4 have a times tables assessment in 2023. The children are required to know all of their times tables up to x12. We are holding a teacher parent even to discuss this further on the 14th March 2023 and would love to see you there. 

Spellings: You should all have a weekly test booklet, this outlines the spelling for each week. The spellings are discussed in class on a Monday and are tested on Friday. It is really important children learn these, so they can apply them in their class work.
