Healthy Minds and Bodies

Welcome Back Barden!

To welcome back the children after the lockdown and to make sure all the children were settled again and ready to learn we planned some brilliant, fun wellbeing activities.

See what we did on the photos below.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

My Happy Place

Jordan North, Radio 1 DJ,  may not have won this year but he certainly made us feel good about ourselves and Burnley.

He talked a lot about Turf Moor (yeah!) and why this is his happy place. He repeated the mantra "Happy Place"  every time he faced a tricky situation which helped him to battle some of his fears and worries. We could learn a lot from him when we are having a difficult time or faced with a challenge.

Where is your happy place?

Have a look at the booklet below and see if you can decide where your happy place would be. You may want to talk to an adult in school or your parents about some of the ideas in this booklet or you can email your teacher on the class email or send to me (Mrs Kenniford) at wagtails2@barden.lancs.sch.uk. Let me know your happy place.

Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies

We needed to dance and act like spiders. There was a witch and a creepy vampire and even a dancing skeleton. It was fun and a amazing thing to do.

Have you tried it yet? What do you think? Let me know your best session.

Coming soon !!!
